Biography

Lithgow lock played for Country in 1962 before going on to represent NSW against Queensland and the visiting Great Britain team. Smith was called into Australia's Second Test team against the Lions and was the lock forward in the 17-6 loss that saw the Ashes retained by Great Britain. While this was to be his only Test appearance, Smith later captained Manly in 1964.
