I recall seeing an ‘a grade’ gf back in I think early 80’s in which George was a star playing for royal sheaf, alongside my brother, Marshall Rogers, Johnny cattell tony de courcey and other lower graders from wests. Sheaf were hammering Bankstown sports when an ‘all in’ started about 10 minutes from full time and the game was called off and awarded to sheaf.. One of the Basham brothers was in the Bankstown team and although they lost the game, the brawl went heavily their way????????. The celebration party was fairly sedate as many of the sheaf were nursing sore heads????
