Scmidt, as I recall, played one game for Widnes as a winger. I believe it was against St Helens. Widnes were massively hit by injuries at the time. I believe he was Australian but I've no idea where he came from or where he disappeared to. I'd love to know. (He had a decent game by the way.)

He was over on holiday visiting Les Cleal and got drafted in to play.
