Biography
Fears were held for former Dubbo forward Danny Shepherd's life when he was rushed to hospital following his collapse playing for Easts against G’Coast at the Sydney Football Stadium in March 1990. The 29-year-old prop, who had suffered severe heat exhaustion, was in a coma for 10 days but made a miraculous recovery. Although Shepherd did not play in another game with Easts, he returned to the country the following year to continue his playing and coaching career.
