Biography
Newtown junior was graded with Souths following the Jets’ exit from the league at the end of 1983. Djura had represented Australian Schoolboys in both rugby league and cricket (as a keeper) and was often on the fringe of Sheffield Shield selection during the 1980s. A fullback with three clubs he more than held his own in attack and was also a capable goal-kicker.
