Your Say

Anonymous says: Bill or " bags " Owens played for north Newcastle or northern suburbs, one of the strongest clubs in the district. They were the pride of the league and bill was as tough as teak. Sadly, neither bill or the club exist now. From a former north 1st grader. (17/07/2016)

John says: An immortal of Newcastle Rugby League , a player in an era where representing your club meant more than money. The advent of paid players destroyed and spelt the end of Northern Suburbs Rugby League club "The Bluebags" , the greatest of the Newcastle Rugby League clubs .R.I.P. (02/03/2021)
