    What a great little halfback he was. Really enjoyed watching him play and always thought he was underrated. Loved his trademark socks, which were never really pulled up. Great asset for The Magpies. #7.

    Alan always showed great courage for his size, I was luck to play with him when Auburn school represented Wests, I think 1973 played at the Sydney Cricket ground Under 9 stone division.

    Played for The Oaks in Group 6 after leaving St George.

    Wonderful halfback. Great footy player. I remember one game against St George at Kogarah. He was playing reserves but had first grade written all over him. Problem was he was playing behind a little bloke by the name of Tommy. Yet it never detracted from his ability.
