Biography

Clever five-eighth/halfback played in Canterbury's historic grand final win over St George in 1942 before serving in the Armed Forces during the war. After a period as captain-coach in the Illawong competition, in which he captained the first Illawarra rep team against a visiting Great Britain team (1946), Ezart returned to the Canterbury in 1949. He was later a graded referee and a Canterbury club selector.
