I knew Bob Jackson when he was actively involved in the establishment of Rugby League in Victoria. I also had connection with him when he was a Captain with Australian National Airways based at Essendon Airport. Bob gave tremendous support to the establishment of the Essendon Club with whom I was secretary. He was Rugby League through and through and was a great pal and a true gentleman.
