    Is it true that Stan was a foundation member and helped st up the Parramatta rugby League Club?

    You are missing his affiliation with Parramatta
    He was president do the rugby league from 1948 and president of the leagues club from 1957 till he retired after Parramatta won their first grand final - 25 yrs

    Stan Simpson was one of the Forefathers of Parramatta and served as President for 25 years.
    He had Life membership of Parramatta and carried the No 1 badge till his death in 1990. He was also a Life member of Balmain Wests and The Australian Rugby League Clubs.
    He is also my Grandfather and I am extremely Proud of his achievements.

    Stan came out of retirement when he was coaching Parramatta second grade and played for 2 seasons filling in 1947-48 as their goal kicker

    Yes Stan Simpson was a forefather & helped with the foundation of the parramatta club. He is my great uncle & extremely proud of his achievements & what he did for the club.

    He was an amazing Uncle and loved his family. It was always fun time at Uncle Stan and Eileens. Music playing heaps of laughter and yummy food. All the players of the day were invited to join. Uncle Stan and Auntie Eileen’s home was always opened to everyone.
