    This was my grandfather. He was one of the fastest wingers going around. I believe he raced in the Commonwealth games as well.

    Nan used to say that Pop (Sid) used to practice goal kicking by trying to hit a post, and hit it quite often. Then kicking at goal was like hitting the side of a barn, but he was not a long distance kicker. Like my brother said, he was very quick at the 100 yards. He left the rugby league scene because he unexpectedly went to New Zealand.
