Biography
Veteran hooker, acknowledged as one of the game's fastest strikers of the ball when srummaging was such an important part of the game, represented NSW in 1958 and 1961. After South Africa's disastrous tour of Australia in 1963 Anderson was invited to tour NZ with the South African team and played in the one-off Test against NZ (technically becoming the C’bury club’s first homegrown Test player). Anderson joined Souths the following year and was a member of the team that went down to St George in the 1965 grand final.
