Biography

Souths winger, the brother of Alby Why, represented NSW in consecutive years before touring with the 1933-34 Kangaroos. Why, who had been a non-playing reserve in the Third Test against Great Britain on the Lions tour of Australia in 1932, played in two Tests against England on tour as well as 15 other matches. Why was a member of the champion Rabbitoh teams that won premierships in 1931-32.
