Biography

Tough, competitive prop - a star schoolboy footballer at De La Salle College Armidale - played in Souths’ premiership winning teams in 1931-32. A regular member of the NSW team, and a dual Kangaroo Tourist (1933-34 and 1937-38), he also toured NZ in 1935. Curran had to wait until 1936 to make his Test debut when he appeared in all three Tests against England. On the 1937-38 Kangaroo Tour in Cullen played in two Tests in England and was a member of the historic team that defeated France 35-6 in the international played between the two countries.
