Biography

Reserve forward in Manly's win over Cronulla in the 1978 grand final replay later joined I’warra in 1982. Springall was voted the Steelers’ Player of the Year in the newly promoted club’s debut season.

    Wayne was a very hard working player. He was a member of the '78 grand final which Manly won. Also won the 1982 Stegbar Medal for player of the year for Illawarra Steelers. He was named in the Team of Steel as the best players in the Steelers 25 years in the ARL.
