Biography

Cronulla hooker was understudy to veteran John McMartin for much of the 1970s before getting the call-up in the 1978 grand final replay against Manly. After McMartin retired, Beckett stamped his mark as a sound tactician around the rucks before playing the last season of his career with Easts.
