Biography
A graduate of the undefeated Waverly College team of 1927, Lynch was graded with Easts in 1930. He scored three tries on debut against Balmain and after a period in the country, returned to take his place in the undefeated Easts side of 1936 and was a try-scorer in the club's 32-12 win over Balmain in the final. Lynch later became a graded referee (1939-41) and a lower grade coach with Easts (1944). He was club secretary when the Tri-colours won the premiership in 1945 and was co-manager of the Ashes-winning 1963-64 Kangaroos. A deputy vice-president of the NSWRL, Lynch passed away after suffering a heart attack at one of the code's weekly meetings at Phillip Street in 1966.
