Should be Brian, not Barry. Error initiated by the press in 1957 and was not altered by Rugby League because all programmes only referred to B.Owens. Went on to play in 1959 North Sydney Bears Reserve grade premiership team, back to the Bears again in 1962 reserve grade. Pro sprinter NSW Athletics winner of 1956 Gunnedah 130 yd Gift plus sprint 75yds & 100 yd Novice same day.

person in athletics along with many others under the auspices
of Taree Lions Club in a voluntary capacity.
