Playing Career
Biography
Yass five-eighth, (who formed a scrumbase partnership with twin brother Rob in the country), grabbed a piece of league history as a member of the St George team that drew the 1977 grand final with P’matta. McGregor, who represented NSW against Great Britain in his debut year in Sydney, played in the grand final replay the following week which St George won 22-0.

Great player and a boom year in 1977
Any chance a run-down on the NSW vs Great Britain match. I was at the game and remember vividly McGregor, Rod Reddy, & Tommy Raudonikis running riot over the Lions with a 30 point thrashing

He was my Captain/Coach in 1985 for Lakes United in the Canberra comp. This was the last year of Lakes United - they merged with Belconnen United the following year. Many fond memories of Rod. He had a gym setup in his garage for the use of his team.

He specialised in cutting the lanky Phil Mann down to size. Great bootlace tackler.
