    Blacktown Leagues junior -Ross was a hard working 2nd rower who partnered Bill Ashurst in many games 1975. He subsequently had a very distinguished career in country football, captaing country on several occasions and also being named Caltex Country player of the year

    Ross captained / coached the Lithgow Shamrocks in the early to mid eighties and helped the club to win numerous premierships in Group 10.
