Albert was a very tough forward, but he suffered from knee problems.
He became an outstanding coach in the 70's and 80's guiding Allawah A Grade to premierships with ex St George players such as Darren Lindsay, Grahame Turner, Paul Tycehurst, Ross Summerell and John Forbes within the side.

I remember Al surrendering in front of the post and the penalty cost Saints 3rd's the game. This rule is no longer used by todays refs. Fond memory Al!

A hard man of many but I found him very loyal to that team

Albert was a 1 in 1000 player who could of been big. I feel so bad for the guy he’s knees gave home such terrible grief and cost him his career.
