An under rated prop who was part of the feared Magpies pack in the early 1980’s. He famously played one week after Charlie Frith of South Sydney knocked 6 of his teeth out in a brutal high tackle. Went on later in life to write an authoritative book on welding.

Was the first victim of Charle (the hitman) Frith in a friendly trial against Souths at Redfern Oval in 1979.
