John Ballesty withdrew from the country team on Thursday with a knee injury and was replaced by Tom Sheppard, Jim Morgan was a late withdrawal and was replaced by Brian Anderson. They were also missing Mick Cronin, Steve Hewson, Len Bertolo & Alan Dagwell who were in Brisbane with the NSW team.
