Biography

Pioneer fullback played in the rebel series against the NZ ‘All Golds’ in 1907 left Glebe's RU ranks to play rugby league. Hedley created a number of ‘firsts’ that year - playing in the first Glebe team, for NSW in the first interstate match, for Australia in the first domestic Test against NZ and as a member of the first overseas tour with the 1908-09 Kangaroos. He played in 17 matches on tour, including the Third Test against England, before moving to Annandale.
