Biography

Rabbitohs prop made two Test appearances for Australia against France in 1951 but is best remembered as a great Souths clubman who won five premierships (1950-51 & 1953-55). Donoghue left the club to captain-coach Collegians in the I’warra competition in 1958 but returned to Souths as coach from 1959-63. He had a long career in club administration during the Rabbitohs' last ‘golden era’ in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
