Biography
Mt Isa halfback was in good personal form with the struggling North Queensland when he controversially left Townsville to link with premier club Brisbane in 2001. After overcoming a series of injuries and personal tragedies in his three seasons with the Broncos Prince chose to renew his association with former North Queensland coach Tim Sheens at the W’Tigers. Prince was the Queensland halfback in the 2004 State of Origin series but his form the following year, despite missing out on State of Origin duty, was nothing short of brilliant. In the 2005 grand final Prince captained the club to a maiden premiership and won the Clive Churchill Medal. Later that year he also became the W’Tigers’ first Test player when called into Australia’s Tri-Nations squad. Prince made his Test debut in Australia’s 20-6 win over Great Britain in Wigan but was used from the interchange bench (coach Wayne Bennett preferring Craig Gower at halfback) in Australia’s shock 24-0 loss to NZ in the final. There were more shocks as far as Scott prince was concerned; in 2006 he announced that he was leaving the W’Tigers to join the newly promoted G’Coast Titans.

My personal Idol, one of the best players to never get his flowers. Now coaching an astoundingly triumphant NRLW Broncos team. A legend of the Gold Coast and such an inspirational player.
