Biography

Wests RU international hooker's sole Test appearance as an amateur was against NZ in 1914. Clarrie Prentice turned professional in 1915 but it was not until 1919, after the end of World War I, that he represented NSW. He then toured with the first Australian team to NZ and appeared in two Tests against the Kiwis. Prentice was a member of the 1921-22 ‘Australasian’ Kangaroos and appeared in 25 games on tour including all three Tests against England. He later coached Wests in 1927.
