Biography

Nth Queensland junior (Moranbah) came to the North Queensland as a sixteen year-old in 1996 but Stand-in coach Graham Lowe was denied permission by the ARL to play the talented teenager in first grade. Hannay, a goal-kicking centre/winger, made his debut two years later and set a host of club records during the next decade – most points in a match (24pts in 2003), most points in a season (230pts in 20003) and most career points (882pts). Hannay carried a shoulder injury into the 2005 grand final but surprised many, given his veteran status with the North Queensland, when he signed with Cronulla for 2007.
