Biography

Bradford Northern hooker, a veteran of over 400 games for the Bulls, made his Test debut against Australia in the Third Test on the 1982 Kangaroo Tour. Noble was chosen as vice-captain of the 1984 Lion's tour but was promoted to captain after original choice, Trevor Skerrett, withdrew. Noble's squad did not win a Test in Australia or NZ and nor could he set the Sharks alight during his brief stay in 1985. Noble succeeded Canberra coach Matthew Elliot as Bradford coach in 2000, capturing the English Super League premiership the following year. Noble coached Great Britain in the 2003 Ashes series and in three successive Tri Nations competitions (2004-06).

What a superb bloke, nobby was.he was a hard working player ,who shirked nothing. But most of all I remember Brian ,taking time out ,to talk ,to the colts, telling them, to work hard,on the weights, training, etc, to improve there game.you could see then ,nobby was destined, to be a successful coach.
