The stadium's non-commercial name was officially Brisbane Stadium from its rebuild in 2003. In November 2016, Queensland parliament legislated a change of the name to Brisbane Stadium (Lang Park). This name change did not affect the ongoing commercial naming rights with Suncorp.Rugby League Project considers the redeveloped ground as separate from the original Lang Park which was demolished in 2001.
