I am Ray Pitty. I am eighty six years of age and live at the Brooklamd Retirement Village, Robertson with my wie Glenis. I Began referring in Brisbane in 1965 until 1969 when transferred to Darwin from the Post Master Genetal,s Deparemt to the Departmenttmet of Health. I became the number one Referee and controled lll A Grade finals from 1969 to 1072 including the Grand finals in 1969 and 1072. I was also appointed to control the International match GREAT BRITAIN v NORTHERN TERRITORY in 1970. I also Refereed the first game televised in Darwin. I returned to Brisbane in 1973 and continued to Referee with the Brisbane Rugby League and in 1975 or 76 became an A Grade Referee. Other A Grade Referees appointed to A Grade matches were, Eddie WARD, Bernie Pramberg and Stan Scamp. I resigned from the B.R.L. Referee,s Association in 1977. My contact mobile number is 0421179273.

Further to my comment made and sent this day 29/07/2026, I was the Author of the book " RUGBY LEAGUE THROUGH THE EYES OF THE WHISTLE. The book was published by Book PAL in 2008. The publishing company has since moved to Singapore I understand. My book can be obtained from the Brisbanen City Council LIBARARY who bought ten copies and is still available. My apologies, I notified you that I was appointed to the Farwin Hrand finals of 1969 and 1972. That is incorrect. It was in 1969 and 1072. A threat against my life was received by the Secretary of the Farwin Rugby league and in their wastom advised the Darwin Teferee,s Appointment who in their wisdom decided it was not worth the risk and appointed Norm Carrol to the A Grade Hramd final. I was offered the Reserve grade Grand final but I refused as it would have deprived a Teferee who had been Refereeinh the reserve games all season. In 1072, Again a threat was received and again I was not appointed to the Grand final although I had been appointed to every A Grade semi final and preliminary finals. A young Teferee was appointed to the A Grade final.. I obtained a transfer to the Vommonwralth Department of Health Brisbane and rejoined the Brisbane Referee,s Association in 1073 . I became an A Grade Referee in 1975 and 1976.

I submit a correction toymy previous submission. I was appointed to all A Grade finals in Darwin from 1969 to 1072
