Your Say

Dan McKay says: Noel Hazzard was the biggest influence on my sporting life. He was decades ahead of his peers in preparation and training for performance. In the late 40’s he was a weight trained athlete at a time the experts were teaching that it would slow you down and you could become muscle bound. He took his weights on board ship for the 1952/3 Kangaroo Tour of England and trained each day of the journey. He played all 23 games on that tour , the only player to do so. He was a tough uncompromising aggressive player and became a very successful coach. He was still playing strongly at age 47 for Brothers in Dalby. A true champion. (29/06/2018)
