He came from Swansea Rugby Union in October 1958
to join Leigh.

when Gordon Lewis played in a trial game at Leigh as "A.N. Other" on 4th of October 1958, I was his winger. He scored 3 tries, sustained a cut under his eye & Leigh signed him on after the game. I received minimum service from my centre & was later released from my three game trial contract.I played 12 or 13 years as an amateur with Warrington Teams Rylands Recs, Thames Board Mills & Orford Tannery. I Was also selected for the Warrington town team on a number of occasions.
