Jack played for Wigan in 4 decades - the only player to have done so. His first game was in 1939 and his final game in 1960. He Captained Wigan and also Great Britain. He represented the British Empire at Rugby League against New Zealand and with the RAF in India and Burma in World War 2. Having lost his 'prime' years serving with the RAF he returned to the UK IN 1946 aged 25 and played in the 1946 RL Cup Final. He toured Australia in 1950 and 1954 at the ages if 29 and 33 respectively.
