Squire Stockwell was my grandfather. When I was a boy, to keep me quiet, he would send me to a spare bedroom at his house on Swinnow Crescent where there was a cabin trunk, bought for the 1920 tour, full of memorabilia - postcards, match programmes, newspaper cuttings etc. When he died his house contents were sold or distributed around the family, and it seems that the trunk was lost. His son, my uncle Stanley, got much of the contents, but my cousin, Brian Stockwell, has no recollection of the trunk. I am very keen to know more about the 1920 tour, if anyone could help. From his passport there is a Foreign Office stamp dated 29th March 1920; Bombay stamp 30 April; Colombo 3rd May; Freemantle ? May; 19th August NZ to Australia; 24th August Sydney; 20th September Colombo; and 24th September Bombay. There are some stamps I cannot make out. More information would be much appreciated.
