Additional Notes

Changed his name to Ernest Lauri in the early 1910s. His father (also James Train) had left his mother and so our footballer presumably wanted nothing to do with his original name. As Ernest Lauri he was known as the 'Singing Anzac' and he made the first public performance of "The Road to Gundagai' and starred in a few early Australian movies.
