Souths lost Bob McCarthy on Saturday with a bruised shoulder he was replaced by Gordon Fraser earlier on Friday Phil Smith, Gary Stevens & Elwyn Waters pulled out with hamstring & ankle injuries they were replaced by Alan Heiler, Darrel Bampton & George Piggins, Ray Branigan moved from wing to centre.
