Biography

Ultra-consistent prop forward was a reliable replacement player with the Manly club before cementing his first grade place under Graham Lowe. Cunningham was one of three Manly players to join Super League in 1995 (the others being Ian Roberts and Matthew Ridge) and this decision ultimately cost him a State of Origin place that year. He finally represented Queensland in 1996 and following Manly’s grand final win over St George in 1996, he left the club for Nth Queensland. Cunningham played in all three games of the Super League Tri-Series in 1977 but his time with the North Queensland was unproductive and he returned to Manly in 1999.
