Ross Kite

St George junior started his career in the centres but forged a reputation as a high-class winger. Not missing a grade game during 1951-56 Kite scored four tries on debut for NSW in 1954 before gaining Test recognition against France the following year. He played in all three Tests against the French in 1955, scoring a clever try in Australia's 20-8 win in the First Test after toeing the ball over the line. Kite represented NSW against NZ in 1956 and was a member of the St George team that started their phenomenal eleven-season reign as premiers. Moving to Wagga in 1958 he won a spot on the wing for NSW before playing in the first two Tests against Great Britain. Kite returned to Sydney in 1959 to see out his career with C’bury.
