Biography
Wynnum-Manly lock, the brother of 1978 Test prop Greg Platz, first represented Queensland against NZ in 1973. Platz was a regular member of Queensland's state sides in the 1970s and earned a place in Australia's World Cup team in 1975. His move to Sydney, where he played with P’matta and Penrith, met without similar rep success.

Saw Platz play in Brisbane comp many times. Great running backrower who dominated the Brisbane comp.
