My mother Patsy Dutfield is 89 and has dementia, speaks very highly of this man,was a teacher of primary school in a little village in nsw,Stuart Town aka Iron bark.mum mentions Mr Ward daily to anyone who will listen, obviously made a huge impression. They say we have two deaths, one the day you die and again when nobody speaks your name.Mr Ward the teacher and all round good sport lives on.

Mr Ward was our headmaster at Bexley primary school in the 1960s. He would often come to our school matches and as a very small fullback got a couple of best player awards from him. He collected all of the autographs from the 1969 Kangaroos reunion for me which I treasure. A lovely man and was loved by students at the school.
