Quinton scored the Newcastle Knights first ever try the year they came into the competition in 1988.It wasn't in there first ever match against Parramatta as they didn't score any tries. It came in there second ever match against Western Suburbs at Campbell Sportsground when it was called Orana Park.In a match Newcastle won 20-16 to record their first ever win in the competition.
