Wests centre who played in the club's first grand final win in 1930 made 7 Test appearances during his career - all against England. Pearce represented NSW in 1928-29 while playing for Tamworth and later scored a try on debut while playing on the wing for Australia in the Third Test of the 1928 Ashes series. A regular in the state sides during the early 1930s, he played in three Tests against England in 1932 before touring with the 1933-34 Kangaroos. Pearce played in all three Tests on tour (and 24 other matches) but broke his leg playing in a Kangaroos v The Rest promotional match on his return and missed Wests' second premiership title.
