Played in the same side with John at south s in 1974 .On a trip to oz visiting my daughter we stayed in Brisbane for the state of origin. Unbeknown to myself, my wife Hazel had contacted another ex souths player Darryl van de velde for a surprise meeting , darryl in turn had contacted various 1974 souths players , John grant being one of them. I would like to thank John and all concerned for a memorable day. Many thanks to Darryl.

Loved watching him playing for Warrington. Met him a few times, a true gentleman.

I remember meeting him when he was playing for Warrington. A very nice man, easy to chat to. A good player. Sad when he returned to Australia.
