Biography
Promising NZ athlete was a world-ranked sprinter before travelling to England in 1983 to play cricket for Surrey. Elia played rugby league with Kent Invicta, Southend (1984-85) and St Helens (1985-88). A member of the NZ Tour of Great Britain and France in 1985, Elia had a season with defending premiers C’bury in 1989.
