Anonymous says: Frank Threlfo died on 5th October 2012 aged 80years - dad loved the Mighty South Sydney Rabbits and Maitland Pumpkin Pickers Rugby League Clubs - loved and will never be forgotten by your loving family - RIP Dad my great mate xx - son Michael (09/01/2013)

The Great Pumpkin says: Frank Threlfo was the greatest three-quarter line player to play for Maitland, which he did from 1950 to 1965, with his two seasons at South Sydney (1952 & 1953) fitted in this period. Possessed with electric speed, a dynamic swerve, and a sharp side-step off either foot as well as being a tigerish tackler, he was loved both on and off the field as being a true gentleman. A family illness saw him return to Maitland in 1954, but did not deter his love of the game. When he retired he kept this love of the game up by heavy involvement in Junior Rugby League in the Maitland area for many, many years. A player and a man to be admired by all. (11/01/2015)
