    Outstaning player, very underestimated in his time. At 5/8th or lock always gave 100% and often played well above his weight. Great swerve and dummy!

    A first rate coach too. I remember him coaching at De La Salle and the boys played used to play against the older players and coaches and Bob felt like brick when you ran into him. Bob was all over the tactical stuff and was good at managing and focusing the wide ranging energies of young blokes. A good coach and an even better man and cemented my love for the game.
