Biography

Dual Kiwi international used his utility value to good effect with the Roosters in the late 1980s. Sherlock had played rugby union with Auckland and appeared in three Tests with the All Blacks as an inside centre on the tour of Argentina in 1985. In 1989, after moving to Easts, he made his rugby league Test debut against Australia (thus, according to author Bruce Montgomerie, becoming one of only 6 Kiwi post-war dual internationals) before playing three Tests against Great Britain and France at the end of the year.
