Sean Garlick

Souths hooker moved to Easts in 1994 where he was preferred by new coach Phil Gould as club captain despite the presence of Test captain Brad Fittler in 1995. Garlick was a consistent performer for the Roosters but when he found it hard to cement a first grade spot, he returned to Souths in 1997 as an important part of the club’s rebuilding program. Garlick was Rabbitohs’ captain in 1999 when the foundation club was excluded from the NRL competition and was at the forefront of the push to return the club to the game. When Souths returned in 2002, Garlick was named football operations manager.
