Wayne Dwyer was a product of the Greymouth Marist RLFC on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
He represented the West Coast and South Island teams and was a member of the South Island team that defeated Australia in Christchurch when the Australians toured New Zealand in 1980.
Wayne represented New Zealand when the Kiwis toured Australia in 1982.
He has remained active in Rugby League in Greymouth since his representative days.
He played for Greymouth Marist into his forties, and has been involved in coaching and administration in the West Coast Rugby League ever since.
A really genuine Rugby League man in every sense.
